Cape Verde is a fantastic destination for your vacation!
The country, or better the Islands of Cape Verde, you reach within a 6 hours flight from Europe. It is a hospitable place with friendly people and white beaches. All the year round the climate is tropical with temperatures between 23 and 31 degrees, however, the constantly blowing trade wind lets the temperatures seem pleasant.

We are Lieselotte and Robert,
and we have fallen in love immediately with this islands. When we visited Cape Verde for the first time in 1994, there were hardly tourists. We have searched for rest and sunshine ... and what we found were endless white and sandy beaches, the most marvellous weather and a sea, in which the colours of the sky were reflected: in the morning a tender turquoise-blue that about noon moves to brilliant azure from picturesque beauty.

We have found our treasure...
people with native kindness and helpfulness, a sun which warms up stressed people, a sea which refreshes tired bodies and salt works that gives healing and relief.
Yes, here we wanted to establish our new home, here in Santa Maria!

It lasted up to 1996 until we found a house directly on the beach, a little distance outside from Santa Maria. At that time the neighborhood consisted only of four houses - a really idyllic small spot - our paradise.

Then in the year 2000...
we decided to stay for good here in Cape Verde and to create a new home. We sold our company in the Netherlands and came back to Sal with all our belongings.

Homesickness? Not really!
Very soon we started to heighten our house and to furnish a comfortable flat for our guests and friends. Now we could enjoy the look at the sea together with them and exchange news from the distant native country. Later we have developed another two rooms - both dispose of an own bathroom as well as a separate access from the outside. Now the guests could come!

In the meantime, we have already greeted a lot of guests - strangers and friends - and quite a lot of them are fascinated by our paradise and come back over and over again. In this way we are always closely connected to our former homeland in Europe.

From your domicile there are only few metres up to the sea and to the diving and surfing station of Atlantico. The centre of Santa Maria with its numerous shops, restaurants and bars is also reachable in a few minutes.
